Selecting an Offer When Creating a Dashboard
When creating a Dashboard, you will need to select an offer, either the Essential or Standard offer.
From the Dashboard’s home screen, accessible only if the Dashboard has not been configured, you can:
Apply a template
Start with a custom Dashboard (Essential offer only)
Apply a template
1. Select the template
2. Use the Dashboard
A summary window showing the template’s content will appear.
Click "Use the Dashboard".
3. Configure the Chart of Accounts
Isolate Accounts: Move accounts to the “Available Accounts” section if you need to exclude them. Isolated accounts will not be used in the Dashboard.
Reclassify Accounts: Add or subtract accounts to different sections as needed.
4. Create or Link Indicators
(This step appears only if the template contains indicators. If so, you must assign these indicators as they are required in the template.)
5. Publish the Dashboard
How to define a template
To define a Dashboard template, follow the procedure outlined in the article on models and catalogs.
Ensure that the setup is complete before defining the template:
Avoid using widgets based on specific accounts in a file (specific to that file); instead, use account classes or sections of your chart of accounts.
Ensure the terms and titles of your widgets are generic enough to apply to other files.
Follow best practices.
Starting an empty Dashboard
From the home screen, you can start with an empty Dashboard (not recommended).
You can set up your accounting by applying an existing chart of accounts or skip this step. Then, you can build the pages and widgets of your Dashboard.
You can also add additional templates to enhance content once the Dashboard has already been configured.
