A delivery address is essential for many business documents, such as quotations or invoices, especially when products need to be shipped or intervention locations specified. Clear and accurate management of delivery addresses helps minimize logistical errors and improves transaction tracking.
Fact provides several ways to create and manage delivery addresses: directly from a client record, through a document, or via bulk import.
Create a delivery address from a Client file
Go to the Clients menu and select an existing client record.
Click on the Identity widget.
In the Addresses section, uncheck the box Use the same address for delivery and fill in the delivery address details.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
To edit an existing delivery address, select it from the dropdown menu and click the Edit button.
Create and select a delivery address from a document
It is also possible to add a delivery address directly from a document:
In the document editor, click the pencil icon to edit the client information.
In the side panel, check the box Set a delivery address.
Click on No delivery address selected.
Select a delivery address by checking it and click Save.
Important Note: Once the document has been finalized, sent by email, downloaded, or opened as a PDF, the delivery address can no longer be modified.
Adding a new delivery Address from a document
If no existing address is suitable:
In the delivery address selection window, click Add a new delivery address.
Fill in the required information and save.
Create Delivery Addresses via Import
Fact also allows you to add delivery addresses in bulk via import. This method is particularly useful for companies managing a large number of clients and delivery locations.
Go to Settings > Import.
Click on Clients.
In the import window, download the available template file and complete it.
Prepare the Import file
Columns:
Mandatory:
Address Name (delivery address)
Street (delivery address)
Postal Code (delivery address)
City (delivery address)
Country (delivery address)
Optional: Address Complement (delivery address)
To add multiple delivery addresses for the same client:
The first row for the client must include all required columns (client details + the first delivery address).
Subsequent rows should only include the Client Reference and the columns for each additional delivery address.
Import the file by following the detailed instructions in Fact.
Note: After import, the new delivery addresses will be accessible from client files and business documents.
